I am TTC and was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my doctor has me on metformin. I am currently at 500 mg per day and the need to work my way up to 2000 mg per day. Ask
1. How long does it take until your cycles to return? The time of ovulation, etc.
2. Have you lost weight? How long does it take and how much?
3. Were you in any side effects?
4. Did you ovulate on time? Or through any fertility drugs?
5. Are you pregnant? How long after taking metformin?
6.What doses of metformin were / are you?
Any other information would be useful if you want to share! It also seeks to to people of PCOS as you please send me an e-mail to suffer to speak:)

1. I started metformin November 2007 and began working on my first cycle. Before the Met, my cycles were 40-52 days and I was not ovulating. In my first cycle, CD18 O'D me and my cycle was 30 days. My cycles are now an average of 31 days and usually O on CD17-19.

2. I have not lost weight at the Met, but I kept my weight while you are taking, which to me is very unusual. I have not changed my eating habits, but since I can not have something low carb (without gallbladder) devastation for me and I found something that works for me.

3. I knew the symptoms, and they were very bad, but if you keep up with him, which disappear when your body will adjust to the medication. Read my post to a question about some of my thoughts about the Met:

4. Or am I just with the Met in Met I used Clomid. O'D, and if so, in both directions.

5. I was not pregnant, but this month looks really promisingfor me, and is next Tuesday. But even if I do not because the Met is due to other factors.

6. I'm on 2000mg per day. In the post above, I also talk about how I was on my way to dose.

Hope it helps, and I wish you luck!

I took 2000 mg Metformin for 2 years. Do not change anything. I was already thin, but it was easier for me to maintain my weight. I have not before ovulation, Clomid 250mg with him, but I'm not pregnant. 3 years later, I finally got pregnant with IVF and I hope baby # 1 and # 2 May, if you want to discuss, can you send me an e-mail.
