Evening Cooking Classes for a beginner in London? - cooking qualifications

I am a bit useless in the kitchen and want to learn to cook. I'm not really looking for a title, I will only be able to better cook at home rather than a leader. I am pleased Workin in IT.

Central London or North London would be good. Monday evening the best (but suggestions would be good for the moment).
I saw FH courses, which have (a term of one year and has already begun), but they seem to people who want to work with food oriented. I really want to develop a hobby, it seems one years to a big commitment, their price tags much more ....
